Thailand´s capital Bangkok is obviously one of the world’s best place to eat tasty Thai food.
There are so many restaurants and street vendors selling Thai food that it can sometimes be difficult to spot the really good ones.
Also, some restaurants cater mostly to tourists, and the food may not be top quality since visitors are usually easier to satisfy than the locals.
What we want are places that serve authentic and delicious Thai food, where the Thais themselves love to eat.
We have been in Bangkok several times, often staying for long periods of a few months at a time, and have tried a lot of Thai restaurants both indoors and on the streets. We are often asked, “Where do they serve the best Thai food in Bangkok?”
While that is an impossible question to answer, here we will give you our favorite places to eat authentic Thai food. These are places that not many tourists visit, mostly Thais and expats living in Bangkok.

Our 7 Favorite Places To Eat Thai Food In Bangkok
1. Bangrak Cafe
If you are staying near Silom, then Bangrak Cafe is a cool and hip little place with excellent Thai food! The place has a friendly and relaxed atmosphere, with live music and even an art exhibition now and then.
Bangrak cafe is popular among Thais as well as westerners living in Bangkok.
They also serve great smoothies and drinks (with alcohol). We particularly like the shrimps wrapped in crispy bacon, chicken wings, red curry chicken and chicken cashew nuts. So tasty!
