Chief of Pakistan Army Gen. Qamar Javed Bajwa is scheduled to visit Sri Lanka following an invitation extended by the Commander of Sri Lankan Army.
During his stay in Sri Lanka, General Bajwa will hold discussions on matters of professional interests with his counterpart, Lieutenant General Mahesh Senanayake. He will also call on top political and military hierarchy including President Maithripala Sirisena and Prime Minister Ranil Wickremasinghe in order to discuss and dilate upon issues of regional security and matters pertaining to mutual interest.
