Colombo: Sri Lanka has condemned the terrorist attacks in Kabul, Afghanistan on Monday which claimed 26 lives and left at least 45 others wounded.
The Foreign Affairs Ministry in a Twitter message said Sri Lanka condemns Monday's attack in Kabul targeting civilians and journalists and offered condolences to the bereaved families of the victims.
"We extend our heartfelt condolences to the families and loved ones of all victims. We wish all those injured in this senseless violence a speedy recovery," the message said.
At least 26 people have been killed in two bombings in the Afghan capital Kabul, including several journalists documenting the scene, the BBC World Service reported.
Among the journalists killed in the two attacks were AFP chief photographer in Kabul, Shah Marai and BBC reporter Ahmad Shah in the Khost region.
